Depending on the project, we may need to complete a feasibility study before design work begins. The study tests the capacity of the site, and how realistic the objectives are.
It is the cheapest point at which to discover that a scheme does not work — or that it works better in a form nobody had considered.
For sites in sensitive locations, or where the planning position is questionable, we often pair the study with a pre-application consultation so the answer carries the authority's view as well as ours.
