The extension was conceived as a modern interpretation of the existing vernacular, maintaining the familiar pitched roof and brick palette but refining proportions and detailing for a crisp, updated aesthetic. The goal was to extend the home’s usability without overwhelming its heritage a seamless evolution rather than a stark departure. Internally, the extension transforms the spatial logic of the house. The design introduces open‑plan kitchen dining zones that flow effortlessly into the outdoor terrace, encouraging social interaction and indoor‑outdoor continuity. The double‑height glazing creates a sense of vertical openness, while the upper level provides private Master Bedrrom with views over the landscaped garden.
Matching red brick ties the new structure to the original, ensuring visual harmony and permanence. Horizontal white cladding introduces a contemporary accent, lightening the façade and emphasizing the new volume’s geometry.
